Beth Prentice

Beth Prentice’s work focuses on the intersection of the architectural and the organic. Her work aims to reinforce a natural human affinity with the non-human by creating geometrically woven works, which replicate the organic growth and patterns of natural matter. This practice comes primarily in the form of sculpture, some works are intertwined with natural structures, and others have some element of movement to them, which allows for constantly changing perspectives on the patterns within the work. More recent projects allow the materials themselves to define their own organic structure, and are then exhibited outside in conjunction with the natural world.
